We have a very busy life right now so there isn't much time to devote to this blog . . . but I will try!

On May 29th, 2011 Blake and I welcome Easton Bradley Amador in this world! He was born 5 weeks early so he only weight 5.5 lbs, but he is growing fast!

Easton 5 days old

Easton 16 weeks old.

Easton is now smiling all the time. He gets very distracted by the camera though so it is hard to capture on! Last week we heard a real laugh for the first time. It was the cutest thing I have ever heard! We are trying everything we can to get another one out of him.

Some things Easton currently loves: mommy, daddy, watching TV, playing under his gym, "running" his legs, sleeping on his stomach (I know this is a no-no, but it's the only way he'll sleep without being held!), being rocked to Maroon 5, formula (he's a growing boy), taking baths, and massages.

Life is moving fast . . . but not fast enough!

So much to update the blog with! First and foremost, Blake and I are expecting our first baby! We are having a boy, due July 1st. This pregnancy has been a roller coaster. The first trimester was so easy I didn't even know I was pregnant till I was almost 12 weeks a long. I soon found out I had an incompetent cervix which makes for a complicated pregnancy. Our little boy almost came into this world in the beginning of April. I spent some time in the hospital, had a surgery (cervical stitch) and lots of different medications. We were able to stop contractions and he has been hanging in there since then. I am now on a moderate bed rest. I can get up and move around. as long as I am not on my feet for too long. My stitch will be removed at 37 weeks and the doctors predict I will have him right away . . . only 5 more weeks left!

Being at home on bed rest you would think I would be bored out of my mind - not quite. We bought our first home and got the keys on April 8th (just days after my surgery). One crazy week! It has been frustrating not being able to do much to the house or around the house. However, it is slowly coming together. I have lots of little project I can work on during the day so I am staying busy.



I know I need baby Amador to stay in a little while longer but I can not wait till he gets here!

Keeping up . . .

WOW I really thought I would keep up to date with this blog. I guess not! In my defense, life has been busy.

September

September 18th was our wonderful, stressfull wedding =) Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it so special.

The wedding came and went fast, and Blake and I both went right back to work. We are both teachers, so there wasn't time for a honeymoon immediately following the wedding.

October

In October I had a minor procedure to remove precancerous cervical cells. Not a fun procedure and I was very uncomfortable for many weeks to follow.

November

Blake and I had the opportunity to go to Southern California over the Thanksgiving weekend. We went to Disneyland and Hollywood. We were also able to spend time with my parents, brother, niece and many other family memeber.

December

Now here we are in December! Blake and I will be leaving in 3 days for Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We are finally getting our honeymoon! The trip couldn't be coming at a more perfect time, we are looking forward to a little bit of R&R . . and some sun!

Bridal Shower

My Bridal Shower was this past weekend. It was Great! Thank you to everyone who attended and helped to make it so special! A special thanks to my wonderful mother, Kristin, Katie and Regina!

Bachelorette / Bachelor, who had more fun?!

Wedding Festivities have been kicked off!

A few weeks ago I went to Las Vegas for my bachelorette party. It was a great weekend with the girls! We had a ton of fun!

Blake also went to Vegas for his Bachelor Party. Of course he doesn't have as many pictures . . . and now a lot less money! Sometimes it pays to be a girl =)

Getting Started . . .

I don't know why I felt the urge to do something creative . . . as if I don't have enough of that going on with all the Wedding Festivities! SO here I am trying to figure this thing out. I figured I could use this as a way to share and discuss some of the wedding ideas without driving Blake crazy!! I'll get to the wedding stuff once I figure this out . . .
